Low Sloping Metal Roof

If you’ve ever had a flat roof or low sloping roof, then you know that they can be very difficult to maintain. However, have you ever considered a Low Sloping Metal roof? Standing seam metal roofs are the ideal choice to compliment low sloping roofs. Our mechanically seamed metal roofing panels use a 180 degree interlocking system and can be installed on as little as 1/2 inch per foot roof slope. Let’s take a look at all the options for your low-sloping porch roof:

Asphalt Roof

Asphalt Roofing is not designed for low pitched roofing because ice and wind can slip underneath the shingle. In fact, you should not install asphalt shingles on a roof with less than a 3/12 pitch.

Rubber Roof

A rubber roof is a cheap alternative for low sloping roofs but they aren’t very pleasant to look at and show your neighbors, and only last 10 years if you’re one of the lucky homeowners. They require constant maintenance (should be silver coated every 2-3 years) and can sprout pinhole sized leaks that are almost impossible to find.

Metal Roof

Metal Roofing is the preferred and almost obvious choice of Low pitched and sloping roofs. Not only is metal roofing designed to last a lifetime–50 years and counting–it is aesthetically pleasing, too. Choose from over 35 “cool” colors that reflect the sun’s rays and simultaneously keep your inside space comfortable year round. It is the best value because it will last 5 times longer than a rubber roof, without costing you five times as much!

At Global Home Improvement and Metal Roofing NJ, we know how to handle even the most complex roofing problems and will always recommend the solution that best fits your needs. Remember, when purchasing a metal roof, not all standing seam products are created equal. We use a Special Low Sloping Panel to insure your roof is weather-tight and protected against the elements for years to come.
