Copper Roof
Copper, rooted in centuries of use, will not rust, has no finish to scratch or peel, is soft enough to easily tool and weathers naturally to a beautiful, natural green patina. Although considerably more expensive than Aluminum and Galvalume, Copper is a rare metal that can give your home that desired look and feel!
Soldered Copper Versus Seamed Copper
Standing seam copper roofing can be soldered or mechanically seamed. We prefer a mechanically seamed installation because it gives a neater look to the copper roof. In addition, mechanically seamed cooper roofs require no cleaning of the seam after installation.
Curved Copper Roofing
Copper is ideal for roofs that have a significant curve within a small distance of the roof. Aluminum or Galvalume have a paint finish and cannot be bent to extreme measures but copper can. Often times the curved roof on your home is copper that sometimes gets painted over after 70-100 years! If this is the case you should look to replace it with a new copper roof and over time you will have a beautiful patina!
Custom Copper Shingles
In addition to standing seam copper roofs we also have the fabricating capabilities and installation experience to re-create copper shingles that may have been installed over 80 years ago. We can even order pre-patinad copper to match the existing roof!
Copper Roofing Needs Copper Gutters
Because copper oxidizes with other metals it is necessary to install copper gutters with your new copper roof (unless we’re just installing over a bay window and there is no gutter). When installing copper gutters we can go with a traditional 5k gutter or a more ornate half-round gutter. At Metal Roofing NJ there is no project to unique or too custom.
Your team of master roofers have just completed the metal roof on our large contemporary home after four weeks of intense, challenging, dangerous work. We are so impressed with your metal roofing team and wanted you to know it. Hurray for our beautiful metal roof!!
Thanking you
